Notes
round of light rain until noon when the sky suddenly cleared to cumulus clouds and a line of severe thunderstorms formed in southcentral Iowa and northcentral Missouri. It raced northeast at 60 miles per hour. We were at a physician's office in Seymour (7 miles to our WSW) A severe thunderstorm warning, followed by a tornado watch, then a tornado warning paraded on the weather radio at the physicians office over a span of 15 minutes. We were moved to the basement where a terrific bout of hail, straight line winds and torrential rain occurred. We we got home 2 hours later, we had a tremendous amount of field flooding occurred. We had 0.58 inches of rain in 15 minutes with a 31 mile an hour wind gust
